Evan's Photoshoot

Evan and I went out the other night to do a photo shoot. He was great and we got some great shots. I only had to bribe him with two quarters! What a bargain!

He is so cool!

Is this not the most handsome boy you have ever seen?!

Ready for Halloween

I saw this shirt and had to get it for Mia. She could wear it all year long and it would make perfect sense to her. I love that tongue! She is going to freak out that people will give her candy just by knocking on their door.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

We went for a walk last Sunday down around the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple (pronounced Ochre, like the color). It is about 5 minutes from our house and we've been monitoring the construction for quite awhile now. About a year ago Evan received $10 in birthday money. We explained that he needed to pay his tithing and what the church would use it for, temples churches, etc. He paid it to the Bishop on that Sunday and we didn't think about it again until we drove past the Oquirrh Mountain temple a couple of days later. A lot of progress had been made on the construction and Evan exclaimed, " Look my dollar is really working!" Ever since then we visit the site to see Evan's "Dollar at Work"!

MORE FROM THE PUMPKIN PATCH

We had the best time at the pumpkin patch this year. It has become a bit of a tradition for our family to pick out our pumpkins at this little family farm pumpkin patch. Both Evan and Mia had a blast inspecting the pumpkins for potential and I loved snapping pictures of the whole thing! These kids have such distinct personalities, and it is so evident in these pictures. I love the one of Evan sitting in the pumpkin patch, it is the quintessential Evan. Happy, sweet, content, loving. Mia, on the other hand, is summed up by the grumpy faced gang member. She looks like she's about to pull out a gun out of that pocket while flashing gang signs with her other. All about the attitude! I love that picture- it's "newsies gone bad"! It is so much fun to be their parents and see them develop into little people and friends!

We're really modern now!

Here we are with our first foray into the world of technology! We are bloggers now! Who knows next year we may learn to program the VCR (oh, that shows my age) ? An update for those who don't know, we live in Herriman, UT which is on the southwest side of the Salt Lake Valley. We really love it out here. It's quiet, but close enough to friends and fun. We have two great kids, Evan and Mia Jane. Evan (AKA Evie, or Mustard as Mom calls him) is 4 years old and in his second year at Challenger School (preschool and pre-K). He loves his teachers and seems to be the big man on campus. Smart and sweet, Evan is a great kid, and we thank heaven for the joy that he gives us. Mia Jane, is 21 months (Oct), and all girl. She is at such a fun age, talking all of the time with her husky little voice. One of our favorite things to do is have her repeat words just to hear it back in that sweet voice. She loves shoes and chocolate, and can do no wrong in her Daddy's eyes! I went back to school and earned my Masters Degree in Interior Design from Utah State and since graduation have been designing for private residential clients from Florida to Park City. Right now I work for a company called CH2MHill as the Architectural Lead at the Intel Micron site in Lehi, UT. The work is mostly code and build related, with very little on the creative end. I get my fix on the side with a collection of residential clients. My website is www.brianclarkdesigns.com so check out my work when you get a chance. Alison is loving being a Mom to the best kids in the world, (seriously, they are the best kids, I'm sorry, but it's true). She works as an early morning Kindergarten teacher for Challenger School and is absolutely amazing! You would count yourself lucky to have your kids in her class. She really is a talent. We would love to hear from any of you! We are missing old friends and getting nostalgic about the "good old days." Make comments and check back occasionally! We love you!
